Welcome to the Mountain State Art and Craft Fair
A celebration of mountain creativity that has thrived for over 60 years!
The Mountain State Art and Craft Fair has been a proud annual tradition since 1963, celebrating the rich artistic heritage of Appalachia and West Virginia. For more than six decades, the fair has remained committed to education, craftsmanship, and the preservation of heritage arts, providing a meaningful connection between artisans and the public.
As a juried event, the fair highlights authentic, handmade work while encouraging artists to demonstrate their creative processes, allowing visitors to learn firsthand how traditional and contemporary crafts are made. From time-honored skills passed down through generations to innovative interpretations of heritage crafts, the fair plays a vital role in keeping these traditions alive.
Through education, live demonstrations, and a focus on cultural preservation, the Mountain State Art and Craft Fair continues to honor the past while inspiring future generations of artists and craft enthusiasts.
