The purpose of the Mountain State Art Craft Fair Scholarship and Grant Fund is to foster, encourage, and develop an appreciation of education in West Virginia visual arts, heritage music, and dance. The Scholarship and Grant Fund is designed to provide how qualified persons can acquire knowledge and education in the arts. Funds must be used for education/training to advance one’s discipline in the visual arts or traditional/heritage music or dance. 

The Mountain State Art & Craft Fair Scholarship and Grant Fund does not require information regarding academic standards, financial status, race, religion, or sex. Qualified applicants may be any West Virginia resident who is 18 or above.

Required: Provide two letters of recommendation and documentation, such as brochures, catalogs, or verification letters for education/training for advancement in the visual arts or traditional/heritage music or dance. 
 

Statement of Applicant 

I affirm that this application contains no willful misrepresentation or falsification and that the information given is true and complete to the best of my knowledge or belief. I know that if any investigation discloses any such misrepresentation or falsification, I will be subject to not receiving scholarship or grant fund assistance. 

I authorize the Mountain State Art & Craft Fair Scholarship and Grant Fund Board to investigate all statements/resources made available with this application. I release for liability or responsibility all persons, places of business, schools, and government organizations supplying such information.
