The smells of fresh baked goods have always been part of the magic of the Mountain State Art and Craft Fair, and this year visitors can look forward to even more homemade goodness throughout the fairgrounds.
In addition to the exciting new Firecracker Pepperoni Roll Bake Off, the fair has expanded its baking offerings for 2026, creating even more opportunities for guests to experience Appalachian baking traditions firsthand.
One of the newest additions this year will be favorite Pauley Homestead Bakery, which will operate a bakery experience inside the historic Craft House at Cedar Lakes. Fairgoers will be able to walk through the bakery area, enjoy the aroma of fresh-baked treats, watch bakers at work, and purchase baked goods directly from the checkout area at the end of the kitchen experience. From preparation to packaging, visitors will get a behind-the-scenes look at the work and artistry that goes into handmade baking.

In addition, the talented bakers at Cedar Lakes will once again serve up many fair favorites, including fresh cinnamon rolls, traditional pepperoni rolls, and their famous apple butter from their Applebutter Tent on the fairgrounds.
The hardest decision fairgoers will have this year is to leave enough room to sample all of the home-baked goodness on the fairgrounds!

Whether you are stopping by to watch the baking process, entering the Firecracker Pepperoni Roll Bake Off, or simply following the smell of fresh bread through the fairgrounds, the 2026 Mountain State Art and Craft Fair promises to be a delicious celebration of Appalachian hospitality and handmade tradition.
Join us July 2–4, 2026, at Cedar Lakes Conference Center in Ripley, West Virginia, for three days of handmade artistry, heritage crafts, live entertainment, demonstrations, and unforgettable food experiences.
