The Mountain State Art and Craft Fair is Pleased to announce that a remarkable commemorative collector’s piece celebrating one of the most historic milestones in American history has been created specifically for guests of the 2026 Mountain State Art and Craft Fair.

In honor of the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America, longtime fair artisan Appalachian Glass has created a stunning limited edition of 250 hand-blown glass medallions that will debut exclusively at the 2026 fair.

Production of this exclusive commemorative piece has been intentionally limited and will be available only at the 2026 Mountain State Art and Craft Fair, held July 2–4, 2026, at Cedar Lakes Conference Center in Ripley, West Virginia.

A longtime exhibitor and crowd favorite, Appalachian Glass has become a signature part of the Mountain State Art and Craft Fair experience, offering visitors the opportunity to witness the fascinating heritage craft of traditional glassblowing through daily live demonstrations during the event.

For three generations, the Turner family has dedicated itself to keeping the art of glassmaking alive, bringing together more than 75 years of combined experience in the glass industry. Their commitment reflects an important part of Appalachian culture — preserving traditional craftsmanship by passing knowledge, techniques, and artistry from one generation to the next.

Each commemorative medallion is handcrafted using traditional glassblowing methods and features vibrant patriotic colors that honor America’s 250-year journey.  Because every piece is handmade, no two medallions are identical, making each one a truly unique collectible.

Founded in 1963, the Mountain State Art and Craft Fair has spent more than six decades preserving Appalachian heritage through authentic handmade artistry, demonstrations, education, and cultural celebration.
